About the CD
This is INDIGENOUS HIP-HOP, like the REAL hip-hop from back in the day when
it was genuine, and MCs truly spoke to the people for a greater cause. I,
KZK, am an Aboriginal Person and my music is strongly influenced by my culture
and the experiences that I've lived as an Aboriginal person. If Rockers can
rock their stuff, the rhythm and the blues can co-exist, and cowboys can
cry and sing about their lifestyle; then it’s all good for me to be
a Kray‹Z›Kree - MuthaLovin' Cree and sing about my Aboriginality. Hi-Hi

The song "The Message," comes out of his personal experience walking the streets of Edmonton as a teenager, confused and disillusioned. "I grew up in the rough parts of Edmonton. I saw Aboriginal people on the streets. They were always stereotyped as being drunks, 'stealing Indians', 'bad Indians', 'wagon burners', and I wasn't that. I wanted people to know that. Also in my life, there was a lack of role models, so I wrote this song called The Message. It's a message to all those people who are lost."
"Pow-Wow Trailz," was featured on Snag Records' compilation, "Rhymes From The 49 Vol. #1".
